## π Release Milestones
### Beta 2 (Upcoming / In Development)
Expected: September 2026
> [!NOTE]
> **Beta 2 is currently in active development.** The changes, improvements, and fixes listed below represent the focus areas being finalized against the Beta 1 baseline.
#### β¨ New Capabilities
- **Dedicated AI & Portal Configuration**: Introduced a specialized AI & Portal tab in Extensions (`AiPortalTab.tsx`) supporting real-time Simultaneous Translation, AI Translator Profiles, Web Portal credentials, WebRTC softphone toggle, and AI Chatbot personalities.
- **Unified Single-Screen Conference Rooms**: Modernized Conference Room management into a unified 4-column single view (`ConferenceFormView.tsx`) structured across General Info, Security & Access (with dynamic PIN generation), and Conference Behavior, eliminating legacy Asterisk ghost fields.
- **Native FreeSWITCH Video MCU Support**: Enabled high-density video conferencing in `conference_profiles.lua` with configurable layout templates, canvas dimensions, background colors, FPS, and automated speaker floor tracking.
- **Strict Telephony Call Control Enforcement**: Active enforcement in FreeSWITCH Lua `route_internal.lua` for Call Waiting limits, Anonymous Call Rejection (SIP 433), and Intercom/Paging Auto-Answer headers.
#### β‘ Refinements & Fixes
- **Unified Codec Selection**: Consolidated inbound and outbound audio/video codec preferences into a single synchronized selector across Extensions and Hot Desking.
- **Streamlined Extension Architecture**: Reorganized advanced parameters by relocating SMS Number, Account Code, and Dial Profile to the Advanced tab, while consolidating Fax assignments into the General tab.
- **Login Screen Ergonomics & Live Brand Simulator**: Re-engineered the login layout and live branding preview simulator. Relocated the contextual info/help icon from overlapping the central logo to a dedicated non-intrusive corner position, preventing logo obstruction.
- **Multi-Format High-DPI Favicon Pipeline**: Standardized multi-format favicon assets (`.ico`, `.png`, and dark-mode variants) across the platform with automated browser fallback.
- **Multi-Tenant Database Boundary Enforcement**: Hardened tenant and domain relations in `00_main_tenant.sql` and API middleware, eliminating orphan records and ensuring top header selectors strictly reflect primary tenant and domain scopes.
- **High-Definition Branding Assets**: Calibrated and trimmed logo and mobile icon proportions across desktop headers, collapsed sidebars, and authentication portals.
#### β¨ New Capabilities
- **AI Perimeter Guard**: Dynamic flood protection and rate limiting integration combining Pike with Kamailio `htable` blacklisting.
- **Perimetric Media Quality Diagnostics**: Real-time MOS score tracking, jitter analysis, and bidirectional packet loss metrics powered by RTPEngine 12.5+.
- **Canonical MCP Architecture (`sbcMcpServer.ts`)**: Standardized Model Context Protocol server exposing Kamailio binrpc diagnostics and QoS telemetry for NOC AI Copilots.
#### β‘ Refinements & Fixes
- **Authentication Cache Hardening**: Dedicated SQL initialization and memory caching for perimetric SIP digest authentication.
- **Dispatcher Failover Latency**: Optimized load-balancing failover timeouts and TLS certificate auto-renewal validation under high CPS.
- **Login Interface Ergonomics**: Synchronized login screen layout and live simulator preview, repositioning the contextual info toggle to eliminate visual overlap with brand emblems.
- **Branding Parity**: Synchronized high-resolution logo geometry and mobile navigation assets with PBX and BSS.
#### β¨ New Capabilities
- **Multimodal AI Billing & Rating Engine**: Full-spectrum rating and real-time wallet debiting for AI Chat prompt/completion tokens, interactive Voice Agent minutes, and Speech-to-Text (STT) audio transcription with AI executive summaries.
- **AI Model Rate Cards (`AiRateCardsTab.tsx`)**: Specialized tariff decks for LLM and voice models (OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Deepgram) tracking wholesale vendor costs, retail rates, and real-time gross margin percentages.
- **Multimodal AI Plan Packages (`PlanFormView.tsx`)**: Canonical 3-block AI allowance configuration in Catalog Plans (Chat & Copilot tokens with bundled quotas and overage rates; Interactive Voice Agent minutes; STT call audio transcription).
- **AI Detail Records (AIDRs) Ledger (`AidrsPage.tsx`)**: Dedicated audit ledger and reporting view tracking session UUIDs, AI service models, token breakdowns, wholesale costs, billed spend, and net margin profit.
#### β‘ Refinements & Fixes
- **Atomic Quota Depletion**: Real-time balance evaluation deducting from plan allowances before falling back to prepaid wallet funds.
- **Immutable Multi-Tenant Billing**: Hardened tenant and customer resolution preventing cross-tenant rating collisions.
- **Login Interface Ergonomics**: Aligned authentication layout with PBX and SBC, repositioning the corner help trigger away from the corporate logo.
- **Autonomous BSS Installer**: Modernized `install-robust-bss.sh` and sync daemons (`sync-to-bss-*`) for standardized Debian/Ubuntu carrier deployments.
#### β¨ New Capabilities
- **Self-Service Prepaid Wallet**: Instant wallet top-ups via integrated payment gateways with immediate credit reflection.
- **Detailed Invoice & Ledger Explorer**: Downloadable itemized PDF invoices with breakdown of voice CDRs, SMS MDRs, and AI service AIDRs.
- **Direct DID Management**: Customer-level trunk assignment and incoming DID routing preferences.
#### β‘ Refinements & Fixes
- **Responsive Balance Cards**: Enhanced mobile viewport ergonomics and billing statement summary tables.
#### β¨ New Capabilities
- **WebRTC Operator Softphone**: Built-in attendant console softphone with live VU audio metering and call control.
- **Keyboard Dispatch Shortcuts**: Instant blind and attended call transfers using configurable hotkeys.
- **Extension User Self-Service**: Direct voicemail playback, call forwarding preferences, and personal CDR history.
#### β‘ Refinements & Fixes
- **Crisp Vector & Icon Scaling**: Perfectly centered Lucide icons and calibrated high-resolution branding assets across top bars.

## π How Updates are Documented
To ensure clarity for operators and enterprise teams, our changelog follows strict documentation principles:
1. **Zero Git Noise**: Low-level code commits, refactors, dependencies, and internal test adjustments are omitted.
2. **Impact-Focused**: Every entry describes what changed from the perspective of an administrator, operator, or end-user.
3. **Subsystem Categorization**: Changes are neatly segmented into Ring2All PBX, Ring2All SBC, Ring2All BSS, Switchboard, and User Portal.
4. **Upgrade Instructions**: When package updates (`apt upgrade softswitch-*`) require specific post-upgrade actions or schema migrations, clear step-by-step instructions are provided.
