The User & Preferences suite in Ring2All SBC provides operators and system administrators with granular control over their individual workspace experience, personal security credentials, dashboard telemetry arrangements, software licensing, and system version auditing.

Accessible from the operator avatar and user menu anchored at the lower-left corner of the primary navigation sidebar, these settings empower telecom engineers to customize their monitoring workspace while maintaining strict administrative integrity.

The preferences subsystem bifurcates configuration into Client-Side State and Server-Side Persisted Entities:

  • Client-Side Ergonomics: Layout drag-and-drop metrics, custom dark-mode variants (Mint, Navy, Mirage, Cinder, Black), and compact density toggles are stored in browser local storage and applied reactively without server roundtrips.
  • Server-Side Security & Entitlements: Profile contact details, password cryptographic hashes (Argon2id), and enterprise license keys are verified and stored within the PostgreSQL relational database and Kamailio memory tables.

Role Key Capabilities
SBC Administrator Manage operator profile, change administrative credentials, inspect and activate enterprise license keys, and audit runtime engine binaries.
NOC Operator Reorder dashboard widgets, switch theme modes for low-light monitoring, and personalize contact details.
Security Auditor Inspect running kernel and database versions, verify license concurrency limits, and audit RBAC profile assignments.

Clicking the user profile card at the bottom of the SBC sidebar opens the quick-access menu:

  • Edit Dashboard: Enters interactive drag-and-drop mode on the main dashboard to reorder, add, or resize telemetry widgets.
  • My Profile: Direct access to personal user details, email address, UI language, timezone, and password rotation.
  • Appearance: Dynamic theme switcher (Light, Dark, System) and dark-mode palette variants.
  • License: Real-time inspection of active concurrent calls, hardware fingerprint, and feature entitlements.
  • About Ring2All SBC: Informational modal surfacing live versions of Debian Linux kernel, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Kamailio.
  • Sign Out: Safely terminates the active session token and redirects to the login screen.

Enables interactive grid manipulation on the main SBC operations dashboard. Operators can rearrange metrics cards, delete unused widgets, and expand critical visual monitors like the SIP Traffic Sparkline and Active Calls.

Manages personal contact information, administrative email, UI language (English/Spanish), timezone offsets, and Argon2id password rotation.

Configures interface ergonomics with specialized dark-mode palettes (Navy, Mint, Mirage, Cinder, Black) and customizable accent colors optimized for 24/7 Network Operations Centers.

Displays concurrent call usage, hardware fingerprint binding, and tier statuses for carrier features like Class 4 LCR routing, WebRTC media bridging, and STIR/SHAKEN attestation.

Displays running software versions for Debian 13 (Trixie), Linux kernel 6.12, Node.js v22 LTS, PostgreSQL 17, and Kamailio v6.0.

  1. Regular Credential Rotation: Enforce periodic password updates for all SBC administrative accounts.
  2. Timezone Alignment: Ensure all NOC engineers set their profile timezone to match their physical monitoring location or UTC standard to avoid confusion during incident investigation.
  3. Capacity Threshold Monitoring: Periodically check the License module to ensure call volumes remain safely within licensed concurrent call ceilings.

  • Argon2id: High-security password hashing algorithm utilized for operator authentication.
  • Dashboard Grid: Responsive layout engine allowing customization of monitoring widgets.
  • Hardware Fingerprint: SHA-256 machine hash used to cryptographically bind enterprise SBC licenses to physical or virtual hardware.
